Last night I took my children to see Cruella.
I thought we were all going to be cool once the world opened up again. Respectful. Gracious. Well-behaved. And that’s on me, I guess. I should have known better. Because based on the behavior of the grown adults in the theater, everyone has lost their damn minds.
I spotted not one, but TWO separate individuals who had removed their shoes and were resting their bare feet on the reclined seats. The couple sitting next to me loudly explained each plot point of this movie made for children to each other. One guy repeated every joke to no one in particular. I swear my kids were the best behaved humans in that building and they kept loudly declaring that they needed to use the bathroom.
And… I loved it. People are the worst but I’ve missed being around them.
As for the movie, it was a full sixty minutes too long with a Swiss cheese plot. But I had a large tub of popcorn and a watery Diet Coke from a Coke Freestyle machine and for the first time in a long time I felt like I was home.
Anyway, we’ve got a whole bunch of Hive Mind stuff for you this week, starting with our latest Top Chef recap:
And the recipes/restaurants Irene and I discussed:
Eli and I watched the Friends reunion and talked about it. There were some mixed feelings between the two of us.
Pay me $4 million and I’ll reminisce about anything you want for cameras is how I feel about it.
Then Emily and I did a pop culture pop-in about Jen Shah’s short lived Go Fund Me,
and the Olivia Munn pregnancy rumors, J Lo’s masterful visits with her exes, an investigation into Johnny Cash’s first wife, and Ariana Grande’s wedding dress.
Plus, Hive Mind contributor Jordan Davidson created an atlas of Salt Lake’s best concert venues
Coming Up On Hive Mind
